I would like to know your thoughts first.
Why would the leftist leaders of our federal government and the media insist that terrorists captured abroad be given Miranda rights, but want to deny a US citizen (Time Square Bomber) the same rights?

Good question. Could just be human inconsistency...then again, a lot of them seem to be more "globalist," so since this guy is a US citizen, they don't feel like his case affects how the rest of the world views us? Maybe, maybe not. It might be good to post quotes, etc. to establish that it's the same people, too.
