A Contradiction Conundrum?!?

I would like to know your thoughts first.

Why would the leftist leaders of our federal government and the media insist that terrorists captured abroad be given Miranda rights, but want to deny a US citizen (Time Square Bomber) the same rights?

An Extreme Ideologue

There is a movement afoot, a conservative ascendancy, that is sweeping the nation. I hope it has the strength of determination to take over both houses of Congress and the Presidency, the drive and focus to repeal 100 years of progressivism, and reestablish this nation as the beacon of freedom, and release the capitalist system for ours and the worlds prosperity. And I hope that this tital wave will instill fear into the politicians still possessing a soul and a spine to stop the transformation of our nation into socialism.

As you may have heard that Utah Republicans gave Senator Bob Bennett his retirement.

Congressman Jason Chaffetz, elected in 2008 had this to say, "My victory two years ago led a lot of people into believing that Bennett could be in trouble. When people saw I was able to unseat a 12-year incumbent, they realized they could be beat [long time incumbants]."

Chris Cannon, who lost to Jason Chaffetz, had this to say after Senator Bennett lost, "You have extreme ideologues (that me) who took control of the party and drove normal people out. It's a problem that we have to correct." Cannon argues that the current political climate rewards invective and opprobrium. He goes on to note his disconnect with the people and that he is not a true conservative. "They learn to hate people who are in government, not understanding how it works. It is very clear there is a mass movement in America. They are ignorant. But zealous in what they are doing. Sarah Palin is not helping us as Republicans get control of Congress. I'd be talking to the center. Then you develop an ethos from the center."

Chris Cannon ran as a Conservative Republican for 7 campaigns. Now that he has lost his power and moved on in life he reveals his true colors. McCain is from the same ilk, and he is put forth as a leader of the party. This must change. This is happening from the ground up, commonly refered to as a grassroots movement. I have chosen conservatism because of its correct principles. Soon I will define the stratege for this movement.

PC to Excess

I have mentioned that political correctness has the underlying purpose to silence opposition and destroy debate. It is anti-free speech. It is politically correct to protest the War on Terror at a soldiers funeral, but not correct to wear the American flag bandanna or t-shirt.

How ridiculous! Cinco de Mayo is not even celebrated all over Mexico. A co-worker who is Mexican was explaining yesterday that the day is in remembrance of a battle in Puebla over the french. It is not a Mexican national holiday, it is not their Independence Day (Sept 16). It is basically a day for marketing beer and food sales. It is another over-commercialized holiday. Things like the incident at Live Oak High School mentioned in the linked article need to be fought and stopped. This is ridiculous.

Another incident in the news recently was the Comedy Central: South Park episode that mentions Mohammad. A episode was going to have a joke referencing Mohammad. The creators and network received death threats over this and the episode was edited to remove the reference. Then an attempted terrorist car bomber tried to blowup the entrance to their New York building last weekend. Now there is news of Comedy Central doing a Jesus Christ show where he just wants to live a normal live in New York and His Father is playing video games.

So it is wrong to joke about Islam and fake Mexican holidays, but it is okay to disrespect Christianity? No it isn't. They have a right to say it. I will defend their rights. But socially their is a hypocrisy that is unacceptable. Well I am not a racist, I am not violent, and I am not silent any more.
